Description
This simple, decadent, South African classic is enjoyed warm with ice cream, cream or warm custard. It is perfect comfort food for cold winter weather.
For your convenience it comes in two sizes, large (feeds 5 – 8) and small (feeds 2 – 3).
Malva pudding must be refrigerated and used within 3 – 5 days. However, it can be frozen for 2-3 months. To reheat from frozen it should be defrosted in the fridge overnight. Remove lid, cover with foil and warm gently in the oven at 180 C for 15 – 20 minutes. Or, for individual portions microwave on medium for 30 – 60 seconds.
